About ALC Bookkeeping & Consulting
ALC Bookkeeping was founded in 2012 by Antoinette Crouch — a former ERP Consulting Project Manager who saw that Melbourne businesses deserved a bookkeeper who understood their world, not just their spreadsheets. Fourteen years later, that's still the whole point.
Credentials & Experience
ATO authorised to prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements. A legal requirement — not all bookkeepers hold this registration.
Institute of Certified Bookkeepers — the professional body that sets the standard for bookkeeping practice in Australia.
With experience dating back to before GST existed. Antoinette was working with MYOB and accounting systems long before today's compliance landscape — through GST introduction, ATO reform, STP rollouts and COVID. That depth means fewer surprises for you.
Xero · MYOB · SAP · QuickBooks · Accrivia. Whatever software your business runs, Antoinette can work in it — or help you find a better fit.
The Story
Before founding ALC, Antoinette spent years as an ERP Consulting Project Manager — implementing accounting software and business systems for clients from small Melbourne businesses to national enterprises across Australia. She saw firsthand where things broke down. More often than not, it wasn't the software — it was the processes behind it.
In 2012, she started ALC with a different approach. Melbourne and Geelong businesses needed more than data entry. They needed someone who understood accounting software, compliance obligations, and how businesses actually operate — and who could step in to improve processes, not just record them.
Today, ALC works with sole traders, growing businesses, and accounting firms. Outsourced bookkeeping, software setup, and process work. There's a team behind the delivery — but Antoinette oversees every engagement, reviews the work, and stays across every client relationship personally.
ALC works with businesses across Melbourne, Geelong, and the Bellarine Peninsula, and remotely across Australia. The credential that matters most: Registered BAS Agent #26211942, issued by the ATO and the Tax Practitioners Board.

Why ALC
Most bookkeepers can keep your records tidy. A registered BAS Agent does that — and is legally authorised to lodge directly with the ATO on your behalf. Not every bookkeeper can say that. Plenty don't mention it.
BAS Agent #26211942. Legally authorised to prepare and lodge your BAS with the ATO. Not all bookkeepers hold this registration.
Founded 2012. ALC has been through GFC aftershocks, COVID lockdowns, STP rollouts, and more ATO rule changes than anyone asked for. That history means fewer surprises for you.
No juniors. No offshore teams. When you call, Antoinette answers. When you email, Antoinette replies. That's the deal.
Whatever software your business already uses, ALC works in it. If it's the wrong tool for your size, Antoinette will tell you — and handle the switch.
